A Testimony
of Redemption
Mike and Judy Goryan are born again evangelical Christians,
and believe that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior. We are "saved." We
both know that this is not politically correct and certainly
Hollywood, our court system, Congress and our
state legislature do not embrace that there is a
God, let alone a Jesus who died on the cross. But there is way too
much evidence to believe otherwise.
Those who believe in evolution have ignored the
DNA molecule and the laws of entropy. These two natural phenomenon
clearly dispute all who wish to believe that they evolved from
slime. But people are welcomed to believe that their roots were slime
amoebas.
We choose not to believe this nonsense. We
believe in "intelligent design" and a designer. The DNA
molecule is a "digital code," and such codes must have a designer.
If cats evolve into dogs, show me one! If apes evolve into humans,
show me one.
Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and God has a
Son. The Father, Jehovah, sent him to redeem mankind from sin with His death
on a cross. The cross is a stumbling block to many, but to those who
believe it is their salvation.
What exactly is salvation? Saved or "salvaged" from what? Saved from
judgment. You see, many people don't want to believe in God, because
then there is accountability for their actions. Perhaps by not
believing, the life style they wish to live has no accountability;
no judgment for how they have lived their lives. A loving God does
not send people to Hell; people choose to go there.
Do all religions lead to God? Yes, for judgment
and damnation. Only a belief in Jesus Christ as the Son of God leads
to Heaven. "I am the way, the truth and the light. No man cometh
unto to the Father, but by Me," Jesus said.
There is a God of Heaven, and that God is holy.
He will judge man, and God sets
the judgment standards, not man. Living a "good" life means man judges what
is good. God's standards truly exceed man's measurements. Ok, so you
didn't kill anyone. But did you ever hate or wish someone dead? God
says, that is not different, except in the eyes of man.
There is a power in the lives of true
Christians, and that power is the working of the Spirit of Truth and
of Holiness--it is the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, here in place of
a risen Jesus. The Holy Spirit is the power to sustain and walk in
an ever corrupted society. He fills believers with the presence of
God, and gives peace in times of trouble. He gives a different kind
of joy, that the world and man cannot give nor understand.
The Bible, backed up by over 20,000 documents,
tells us about Jesus. He was "pre-existent" God. He was not a man
that evolved into an angel and then into God. That is the first lie
ever told, and found in Genesis. Satan told Eve, "You shall be as
god." He's was a liar then, and continues to get people to believe
this old lie. Jesus is not the brother of Lucifer;
Lucifer was created by Jesus. Jesus was and is God.
Jesus never preached
that a "religion" saves. Religion is man's attempt to
make himself "better" or more acceptable to God, again
setting the standards that man thinks makes him good enough to go to
Heaven. That is not the
Jesus of the Bible nor the Jesus that politically correct television
shows or that movies portray.
